It’s a powerful anthology bringing together the voices of 200 women writers of African descent from across the world. \nThere won’t be a book club meeting in July as we’re taking a short summer break\, but we’ll be back in August as usual.

Simply put\, it’s a citizen led survey that helps to create a snapshot of the variety of life found in a specific location. The records collected then go on to form part of a genuine scientific survey of the area and are added to the national database.  \nOr in other words\, it’s an informal and fun way to meet some fellow nature lovers and have a good nosey around in the NOMA garden on a Thursday night with an expert by your side. DESCRIPTION:This week we’ll be joining the UK’s biggest citizen science project and taking part in The Big Butterfly Count 2025.\n\n\nJoin us for our weekly Wildlife Gardening Club.  \nThis week we’ll be joining the UK’s biggest citizen science project and taking part in The Big Butterfly Count 2025 with the Butterfly Conservation Trust.   \nLast year’s count recorded the lowest number of butterflies spotted since the project began in 2010. That’s why 2025 is a critical year – your sightings can help reveal the true state of butterfly populations here in the UK.  \nWe’ll be taking several sets of recordings from different areas of the gardens and uploading our results to the National Survey via the Big Butterfly Count app.  \nThis event is free to attend but booking is recommend
